Wow, it really has been a whirl wind since coming home from Vegas. Right now I feel a bit like a duck sitting on a pond. While on the surface everything looks calm and quiet, while underneath they're kicking a mile a minute. I've been kicking a mile a minute, and I promise there's great things to see, very soon. With the launch of a new blog underway, And 4 boudoir sessions to edit and share.......Just hang in there with me a little bit longer I know it will be worth it. ;)

Compassionate Pug Rescue Event this Friday!!

It's our 2nd annual rescue event at America's Backyard in Fort Lauderdale. From 6-9pm tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. It includes a free drink ticket and buffet. Today Mya completed advanced obedience at A Dog's Best Friend. Our class had 3 golden retrievers and Mya. We learned many new commands and even learned a Rally Course. We are 1 step closer to completing Therapy Training.

As I curl up this evening with a glass of wine and a good book, I think about today, and what it is to have great friends. I woke up this morning, to my house having 4 dogs. Oliver and Mya of course! And then Barkely my foster baby, and Sashi my dad's beautiful Australian Shepard Huskie mix. We went for a long walk (which was quite the site I'm sure as I took all 4 at once) and came home to open puppy gifts. Every baby got a new chew toy with a squeaker and all were happy in my house. I then met a few friends for brunch and mimosas. We exchanged gifts and everyone gave green presents!! You saw very little gift wrap, mostly reusable bags, and gifts that would help the environment in one way or another to add to our daily life. We saw Marley and Me, a great movie for all dog lovers. I don't think there was a dry eye in the theater!! Came home and proceeded to take naps. I'm now sitting with my 4 babies and am thankful for all the friends I have (2 and 4 legged) I hope everyone enjoys today, and spends it with ones they love. To all my friends and family I love you. Happy Holidays!!

Can One Person Really Make A Difference?

I've been thinking a lot about my 2009 New Years Resolution. I wanted it to be a good one. Something a little better than staying in shape and eating healthier. (not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm thinking bigger) While working today on South Beach I went into Kenneth Cole and bought a book. It's truly inspired me, even though I've only read 10 pages as of right now. I've launched a new blog Can One Person Really Make A Difference I hope from time to time you will check it out and see how things are going. Gonna be an interesting project. I'm excited to see what I can accomplish and really see if I can rise to the occasion. What is your New Years Resolution??

Broward Pug Meet UP

I've recently had a few visits from some opossums in my back yard. Since I have the dogs I didn't think it was a good idea for them to take up residence. So I found someone who would trap and relocate my new visitors safely. We set up 2 traps and can you believe caught 2 opossums in 1 night! (I only knew of one) They were picked up this morning and will have a new safe place to live not too close to a residential area. She came bouncing into the room the other day throwing this piece of plastic up in the air, playing very content. Well much to my disappointment it was my card reader!!

CPR's First Ever Benefit

Compassionate Pug Rescue had our first ever benefit this past week. We had our event at America's Backyard in Ft. Lauderdale. We had great items up for silent auction and also had a Chinese Auction, which helped us raise almost $5,000 all to benefit the pugs! Not to mention having a great night out with some animal lovers. KT and Safaa came out to support!! A very big thank you to everyone who donated items to us, as we couldn't have done it without your support.

Introducing the newest addition to my house, and Compassionate Pug Rescue. Miss Nya!! She comes to us in major need of some TLC. Undergoing massive surgery on Friday to remove unborn stillborn puppies, it was touch and go for a while. But she made it thru the hardest part, and is now recovering in my home. Many of you know I'm a foster home for CPR, and I help rehabilitate these little ones, helping socialize and love the ones in need, until they're adopted into their forever home. I've currently named them Molly and Hank. We've also received several adult pugs that are currently available for adoption. On Sunday it was the Annual Pug Club Picnic. Compassionate Pug Rescue had a booth, where we sold t-shirts and tried to raise awareness about our organization. She's doing great!!

Well, I wasn't crazy enough to attempt the malls on Black Friday, but I did manage to get my tree up today. Since it's my first Christmas in my new condo, I wanted to make the season last as long as possible. Oliver supervised as the tree went up, and made sure it inspect all of the ornaments before they went on the tree. As for Peggy, she has been hangin' out under the tree since it went up. Maybe she's gonna be a Christmas Present for someone and already knows it............

A new addition arrived at my home today. Peggy has been added to the many we have here at Compassionate Pug Rescue. I'm her foster mom. She will live with Oliver and I until she is adopted. I've become a volunteer for Compassionate Pug Rescue. The not for profit organization takes in rescue pugs and provides medical attention, and helps find permanent homes. Before the pugs are adopted they live in foster homes (I'm now one of them!) This way they don't have to stay in a shelter. Hopefully soon I'll get a new addition to my family!!

Pumpkin Carving!!

Tonight my friend Liz and I carved a few pumpkins. We got one of those kits, that came with stencils, and a few mini saws to prefect the creation. With Oliver supervising, I think we did pretty good. We had one minor mishap of the front falling off of one, but we were able to put it back together with a few tooth picks!!

Today I shot the new campaign for Farenheit Salon. With a team of 4, it took almost 6 hours to complete the creation. Unfortunately I can't share the final image with you until the campaign runs, but I can show you a few behind the scenes........

Carl's busy day

My good friend Carl Pascuzzi, had a shoot today, for Art Basel, and I stopped by to get a glimpse of what we all will see this December. I got to see the trampoline sequence, try on a few wigs and play with GI Joe's. Not to mention the confetti!!

Doggy Day Care

Even though I've just returned from LA, and haven't slept yet, I somehow managed to offer my services to watch Abby & Turbo for the weekend. My friends Liz & Dean are going to Jamaica for Liz's birthday, so I've got to plan an eventful weekend for the puppies to keep them entertained. I'm thinking that in keeping with my LA party mode, I might throw a doggy disco party tonight, followed by a nice long walk in the morning, and a relaxing afternoon at the local dog park so they can take a swim. I've brought Oliver over to enjoy the disco tonight!

Red Eye From LA

After having a great time in LA, for the pictage partner conference, it was time to come home. So KT and I took the red eye, arriving back in Ft. Lauderdale at 6am today. The first thing we noticed were the lack of telephones. Technology sure is taking over. I don't even know where to find a pay phone anymore, and I know it's probably more than a quarter if you do find one, but I surely couldn't tell you what it would be......

Of course there was a party at the convention!! KISS Wedding Albums and Show it, sponsored it. They offered free drinks if you wore their hat, and entertained us with hula dancers and a photo booth. Photographers and photo booths are an interesting combination, to say the least!!

KT and I took an early flight to LA yesterday, check out the view! To attend Partner Con. A photo seminar sponsored by Pictage. We went to PhotoBusinessBootCamp, in Atlanta in August. While Liana, the boot camp pro has a booth, and we came to help her out! Can you just imagine 300 photographers all in the same room. It's bananas!!!!

Hi Everyone! So I've been working on the website night and day all week............Let's hope I have mastered the art of web design, well actually, template design. It's coming together nicely, I've just got a few final touches that I need to work into the site. Fingers crossed that we "go live" next week!!
